Our Programmes
In schools, cities, farmlands and degraded natural forests — we grow trees with the people who live beside them.
Programme 01
We establish and restore tree niches in degraded natural forests and landscapes so ecosystems can recover, hold water and store carbon again.
Restoration begins with understanding the site. We profile degraded areas, match indigenous species to the landscape, plant with local partners and return to monitor survival — working inside forest blocks such as Ngong Hills Forest alongside the Kenya Forest Service.
Programme 02
We work with landowners to grow agroforestry trees through agreed farm models that pay back in soil, food and income.
Benefits of the farm models we agree with landowners include soil and water management, food security, income generation from agro-commodities, increased tree cover and climate resilience.
Programme 03
We believe the best approach to conserving healthy forests is early education and the practice of tree planting in schools.
We educate and provide practical skills to pupils through tree planting and monitoring activities. Students learn the role of trees in the environment, tree species, and methods of planting and monitoring trees.
Programme 04
Local communities are fundamental to reforesting degraded natural forests — so we grow trees while growing livelihoods.
Forest adjacent communities often face diverse challenges, with sources of livelihood being the major concern. We collaborate with the Kenya Forest Service (KFS) and Community Forest Associations (CFAs) to grow trees whilst growing livelihood opportunities.
